Priest Chimney Sweep was established in 1988 by Owner/Operator, Randy Priest.
In,  2010  his son, Colton Priest, became a valuable member of the WETT certified team.
Priest Chimney Sweep is located in Oro-Medonte, ON, and proudly services all of Simcoe County, including Barrie, Orillia, ​and all surrounding townships.

Do I need to get my Chimney cleaned every year?

Having your chimney cleaned every year ensures there is no build up or obstructions that could cause a fire.
In addition, many Insurance Companies require your Chimney to be cleaned annually by a WETT certified technician to ensure the validity of your policy.

I didn't use my fireplace much or at all last year. Do I still need to get it cleaned?

Absolutely.  Even if you didn't use your fireplace much ,or at all, it should be cleaned and inspected EVERY year.  Birds, Squirrels and other Critters will take advantage of an unused fireplace and build their nests in your Chimney. 
 This can be very dangerous when you begin the first fire of the season.



How much extra will it cost for a full inspection as well as a cleaning?

Priest Chimney Sweep does NOT charge extra for a full inspection.  It is part of our service.  Our main priority is your family's safety.
A thorough inspection identifies any potential problems that lie in your future, so they can be corrected BEFORE it becomes an issue.

Can I clean my Chimney myself?

The bigger question is SHOULD you clean it yourself?
Safety should be your first concern.  An experienced technician can identify potential problems and can make the necessary repairs to prevent potentially dangerous situations.
​Secondly, most Insurance Companies require a WETT Certified Technician to ​clean and maintain your system in order for your policy to be valid. Should a problem arise, your Insurance may not cover any loss or damages.
